Terms and Conditions
We agree to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the Hirer(s) / Client(s) expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against The Dog Orchard and The Cove.
General
-
Do not enter the field until the previous hirer(s) / client(s) has securely exited the field with their dog(s).

All dogs using The Dog Orchard must be kept on a lead at all times whilst they are not within The Dog Orchard's secure fenced field. All dogs must be on a lead when they exit the hirer(s) vehicle for their own safety.

Every booking is for a maximum of 55 minutes only (unless multiple consecutive bookings are made). The hirer(s) / client(s) must ensure that they have exited the field within this time so that it is available for the following booking. Anyone remaining in The Dog Orchard or The Cove fields over their allocated time slot will be charged for the extra slot.

Any hirer(s) / client(s) that is unable to retrieve their dog(s) from The Dog Orchard or The Cove fields at the end of their booked time slot must call Antony on 07919 924623 and will be charged for any time slots that they overrun in to.

If your dog is prone to excessive barking please avoid booking the early morning (06:00 - 09:00) and evening (17:00 - 20:00) slots to respect these more peaceful times of the day for our neighbours.

The Cove
​In addition to the other terms and conditions, the following points apply when booking and using The Cove field:

There are no lifeguards on duty and the use of the pond is entirely at the hirer(s) / client(s) own risk. It is the responsibility of the hirer(s) / client(s) to ensure the safety of all people and dogs within their group. The owners of The Cove will not be held responsible for any client or pet during the hire of The Cove.

The pond is for dogs' use only. There is to be no human swimming or bathing under any circumstances.

Please familiarise yourself with the pond depth information on the signs in the field as well as the location of the pond safety equipment before letting your dogs use the area.

Pond safety equipment must only be used in an emergency and must be replaced on the hooks prior to vacating the field to ensure the safety of future users.

Children must not be left unaccompanied in the field or let out of visual sight due to possible risks of drowning.

The hand railings are for safety use only. Under no circumstances are they to be swung or climbed on.

The decking area may be slippery when wet so please take care when using the area.

Please bring appropriate slip resistant footwear when visiting The Cove as weather conditions may vary.

Under no circumstances is a dog to be thrown into the pond or forced against their will to swim. We will not tolerate any mistreatment of dogs that impacts on their safety or wellbeing within the field.

We have provided adequate and safe pebble walkways and stairs down onto the beach and into the pond. The use of the pond banks and other sloped areas as a means of access to the beach area or pond is not permitted under any circumstances.
Responsibility

We, as owners of The Dog Orchard and The Cove, hold liability insurance. However, we will not be held responsible for any client or pet during the hire of The Dog Orchard or The Cove field. The use of The Dog Orchard and The Cove fields, parking areas and entrance walkway shall be entirely at the hirer(s) / client(s) own risk.

We will not be held responsible for loss, injury, theft, damage or accidents sustained to individuals, animals or personal property whilst using The Dog Orchard or The Cove fields or anywhere on the property or adjoining roadway.

All vehicles parked on the property are left entirely at their owners risk. We accept no responsibility for accidents, damage or otherwise, whilst they are on the premises.

The booking agreement does not create any rights over the land and the hirer(s) / client(s) accepts The Dog Orchard and The Cove owners maintain full control and possession of the field and parking area at all times.
Payments, Cancellation & Refunds

Payment is made at the point of booking on our booking page via card payment.

Any slots cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of your time slot, unfortunately cannot be refunded.
The Fields
-
It is the hirer(s) / client(s) responsibility to ensure the field gate is locked from the inside whilst in the field.
-
No litter is to be left anywhere in the field as this can be a risk to future client(s) / hirer(s) and their dogs.
-
The field and fencing is inspected daily to ensure the security of the field. However, if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

In poor weather conditions, The Dog Orchard and The Cove fields may become muddy. It is up to the client(s) / hirer(s) to bring suitable footwear and clothing for the weather conditions for the time they are using the fields.

Hirer(s) / client(s) must inspect The Dog Orchard and The Cove fields to ensure that it is suitable and secure for their dog(s) (fence height, size of mesh holes in fencing etc.)

Please take care walking around the field as the ground may be uneven or slippery in places. We, as owners of The Dog Orchard and The Cove, will not be held responsible for any injury to clients and/or their dog(s) in relation to the ground or field conditions.

Children are welcome in the field but must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Please do not climb the fence.

Please do not climb any of the trees.
-
Breakages or damages to The Dog Orchard or The Cove fields, fences, shelters, equipment or trees will be paid for by the hirer / client(s).

Any use of any of the dog agility equipment is entirely at the hirer(s) / client(s) own risk. We will accept no responsibility of any injury, accident or damage to owner, dogs or personal possessions from the use of the equipment.

The agility equipment is for use by dogs only. Any use of the equipment by adults or children will not be tolerated as the equipment is not built to withstand these excessive weights.

The apple trees in The Dog Orchard produce apples through late summer and early autumn which are a healthy snack for both human and dogs. However, in large quantities the apple pips can be harmful. The apples may also be a choking hazard to small dogs and puppies. We, as owners of The Dog Orchard, accept no responsibility for any injury or sickness in relation to the apples within The Dog Orchard and it is the hirer(s) / client(s) responsibility to supervise their dogs at all times within The Dog Orchard to ensure the health of their dogs.
Dog Handling and Health ​

All hirer(s) / client(s) must ensure that all dogs using The Dog Orchard and The Cove fields must be wormed and fully up-to-date with all vaccinations.

If your dog, or any dog that it lives with, is showing signs of ill health, please do not bring them to the fields.

Prong collars, choke chains and electronic devices are not permitted, and harsh handling of dogs is not allowed.
Banned Breeds - Following recent XL Bully Legislation

Banned breeds are allowed to use the field as long as they and their owners follow the rules below. We now require:

The owner to hold a government exemption certificate for the dog. ​

The owner to hold valid liability insurance for the dog.
-
The dog to be neutered and microchipped.
-
A handler to dog ratio of at least one to one.
-
No socialisation of banned breeds with other dogs unless they have been previously acquainted with no aggression history.
-
A lead and muzzle to be worn at all times when entering and exiting the field, until the gate is securely closed and the owner has checked that the fence will contain their dog under all circumstances. A muzzle should be worn at all times in the field.

Dogs must remain securely in vehicles until previous users have left the car park.​

If any of these conditions are not met and you break the law, we will not be able to allow you to book again.

Data

We only retain your contact details to contact you in case of a change in booking or any extenuating circumstances that require contact with the client(s) / hirer(s). The information is not shared with any other parties.

Covid-19
-
Any hirer showing any symptoms of Covid-19 should not visit the field.
-
The 5 minute changeover period should be followed to ensure that there is no crossover between bookings/customers.

If you arrive early for your booking slot, please remain within your car until the previous hirer has left the parking area.
